Best Everyday Items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Catalog

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Catalog for 2020 is out and wow is shopping different this year! Given the state of our world, I’ve decided to focus on only what I think are items you’ll realistically wear. Usually, I try to cover the gamut from kids’ clothes for back to school, to handbags, to workwear and everything in between.

But this year things are different. When I went through the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Catalog I looked for only practical items we will all likely be using – new sneakers, workout clothes, and some necessary items like-new coats, new booties, and basic tops. I also threw in some good deals on jeans and makeup, because why not. If nothing else, let’s throw on jeans that fit after we ate ourselves through quarantine, some new blush, a new top and feel cute for a change!

When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year?

This year the star August 13. Early Access for Nordstrom Cardholders starts August 13. Public access for the sale is August 19-30. You can preview the Nordstrom Anniversary Catalog here.

How Will the Anniversary Sale Work in 2020 with COVID?

Nordstrom opened up the preview of their sale much earlier than normal. As of June 24 everyone has access to view the items of the sale, with new items popping up daily. They skipped the standard print catalog this year in lieu of online only viewing of items.

Stores are open, but I recommend shopping online and taking advantage of their free shipping. Alternatively, you can do a contactless store pick-up.

Are Nordstrom Stores Open?

Yes, Nordstrom brick and mortar stores are open. Limited people are amount in at one time, and some stores do have revised hours and not all entrances may be open to help control crowds. The stores have reduced seating inside, all personnel wear masks, high touch areas like the sunglass areas have been slightly re0arranged, and greater spread is done throughout stores to help minimize groups. Dressing rooms remain open, though some rooms are closed to help control how many people are in there. Merchandise not purchased will be cleaned prior to putting back on the floor.

Nordstrom offers free shipping and contactless curbside pick up – both get my two-thumbs-up vote for the way to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020!
