Formal Dining Room Centerpieces

I am always changing my formal dining room centerpieces. While I love to incorporate floral decor for home, it can be costly so I try to find a centerpiece that’s changeable for seasons and requires minimal maintenance.

We don’t use our dining room often so I love to have it decorated with a grand centerpiece. Sometimes the centerpiece is playful and celebrating back to school, decked out for Christmas, with silk floral arrangements or like this – a clean design that is good year round.

A centerpiece for round dining room table is a bit different than a square.

These gorgeous urns are from Frontgate. I fell in love with them! I filled them with silk greenery. The mouth of the urn are not large so you don’t need a lot of greenery so I recommend fining stems with fuller flower at the top so you can get a grand effect with just three pieces.

Tip #1:

I find that I place everything in an almost star form when I place items to make it work with the shape.

Tip #2:

Vary the height of your pieces. Use pedestals or risers if everything is the same height to add interest.

Tip #3:

Walk around the whole table after you decorate to make sure every angle looks symmetrical or placed correctly. Shift and continue to walk around to ensure you have a pretty view from every angle!
