Out of the Ordinary Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas
Valentine’s Day is a sweet holiday, and I hope you will read more about my thoughts on the holiday in general here, because I have a whole mantra about this holiday that will help you understand more about who I am. In the meantime, I want to share some Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas that are, hopefully, unique and helpful.
I think Valentine’s Day can be sweet and meaningful for every form of relationship, even the one with yourself. So that’s why I’m sharing some sweet ways to celebrate the holiday whether it’s a gift for a loved one, your children, your best friend, your Dad, or just someone whose been helpful to you in the past year and you want them to feel special. Or most importantly – a gift for you because you’re awesome.

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Him
Top Pick: WizGear
This gift costs less than $10 and both my husband and I have one. We are obsessed. Friends have bought it at my recommendation and they love it, too. It’s a little gadget that clips into the air vent in your car. You put a magnetic strip (that it comes with) in your phone case like shown I’ve shown above and then you can magnetically mount your cell to the holder.
I love it because you get safe, hands free access to your phone easily. We also bring our WizGear mount on vacation because we prefer to use the Waze app for directions so this places the phone in a safe place to see the map. It’s inexpensive, works great and gives you quick, easy and safe access to your phone. It’s a winner, I promise. $10. Love it.
Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Loved Ones
Top Pick: That’s All Mugs.
I’ve featured these sweet and funny mugs before. I own some. Not being a morning person I need a smile first thing and these mugs do just the trick! A portion of sales go to Ovarian Cancer research. They have hysterically funny mugs (I have a few friends who may be getting this one) and sweet ones like this I love you. That’s All mug. All of them are great gifts for parents, friends, neighbors and you!
A mug shown above that I’m holding says Hot Mess. That’s All. It’s a travel mug with a gold top. It’s amazing because it’s hysterical and so me. Right now it’s not sold online (how cool do we feel knowing about this mug before it’s on sale?!) but you can call go to this site and they’ll help you place an order.
Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Kids
Top Pick: Snuggie Tails
My sister bought these for our kids for Christmas. She bought all of the nieces and nephews, ages three to nine one, and let me tell you – huge hits! HUGE. Our kids cuddle in them on their bed when they read at night. And for family movie night they bring them to the couch. Also, when my kids come walking in at night to say they can’t sleep they are often in their Snuggie Tails and it’s all I can do to not laugh at these little people dressed as sharks saying they aren’t tired. These parenting moments when they are little and they look so cute are amazing. I’d gladly pay $20 for this adorable vision of my kids any day. Our daughter has the Mermaid and our boys have the Shark.
Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Her or You
Top Picks – Tie between Eberjey Sleepwear and iHome Mirror
1 – The Eberjey Sleep Shirt. I’m wearing my Eberjey sleep shirt as I type (too much info?) I live in this sleep shirt and other pajamas by Eberjey. Why? They are the perfect compromise – they look adorable on, but are unbelievably soft and cozy. They are machine washable and the quality is A+, lasting wash after wash. I love this because while there are days that call for yucky pajamas, there’s no reason you can’t still look and feel cute while feeling comfortable.
The sleep shirt works for all ages, but I also have and love this short pair and long pants set. Their lingerie is pretty too while also giving you the same feeling of softness. I actually gifted these pajamas to my best friend (whose husband was thankful she was wearing something cute) and she loved them so much she then gifted some to a friend. Worth the splurge. They aren’t that much money if you think that you actually will happily wear these pajamas several times a week!
2 – The iHome Mirror. This multi-tasking Mom is in love with this iHome mirror. Here’s what it does – lights up so you can put on makeup easily, let’s you charge your cell phone while you’re getting ready, plays music from your phone through bluetooth iHome mirror speakers and even let’s you answer the phone and talk through the mirror to your phone!
What?! Sign me up to getting all of that done during your five minutes (in my case) of having some alone time to get dressed in the morning! The iHome light up mirror, cell charger, music player and phone all in one. Did I mention it looks great, too? Great gift or you or your Mom.
Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Anyone
Top Picks – Again, a tie between Lindsey Von Art and Popcorn Bowls
Original art from Lindsey Von Fine Art. Who doesn’t love saying “it’s an original” when someone says your art is pretty. So fancy! Her art is not only gorgeous but it’s affordable. Here’s what I also love that’s near and dear to my heart – supporting women and their talents. It’s not easy for women to stick their neck out there with their creative and start businesses. So instead of hitting a retail store to buy a generic piece of art for your home, buy a beautiful one-of-a-kind piece (prices start at $60) and celebrate love by gifting this to your husband for your home, your Mom, or you knowing you’re helping another women do her thing. A win all around. My two favorite pieces of hers are this amazing pink one (would look pretty with two next to each other or one on a shelf) and this gorgeous green canvas.
The popcorn bowls in this blog post are ones I bought for our children as our Christmas Gift for them. I then personalized them myself. We have Saturday Family movie nights (Snuggie Tails and all!) and everybody gets their own bowl and this cute big one that I wrote our family name on. Our kids love it! So if you’re not doing anything over the top for the day, why not fill these bowls with popcorn and candy for Valentine’s Day to celebrate with our kids but give them something useful!
Framed photos from your Instagram or camera roll. I have a discount code you can use to save 15% off your first order. You could get a frame for as little as $33, including shipping! Read more in this post about Framebridge.
To Drink: Schramsberg Sparkling Brut Rose
….and finally, and maybe most importantly….what do you drink on Valentine’s Day? My hands down favorite is Schramsberg Sparkling Brut Rose. Believe it or not, but this is what they serve in the White House! They’ve served every President since President Nixon. I think that’s so cool. It’s a California sparkling wine made of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. While I wouldn’t call myself a wine connoisseur enough to give you lots of adjective about how it smells, tastes, etc. I’ll just say this – it’s delicious. It’s my go-to for special events, or even that family movie night where it’s just been a crazy week and I want to feel fancy for one minute while I snuggle with the kids.
You can find Schramsberg online to buy or at your local wine store. I drink almost all of their wines, but the Brut Rose just feels special for Valentine’s Day! It’s so beautiful and tastes just as good as it looks! You’ll also be shocked that it’s pretty affordable given that the President’s drink it!
With those Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas, I say “cheers” to you all and wish you a wonderful holiday of love – no matter who you spend it with. And if you spend it with just yourself then I also say “cheers” and you’re awesome. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
