Hello, hello! As I type this I’m looking out my window at 32 degree Atlanta weather. Which is odd because just a few days ago it was 60 degrees! I surrender Atlanta, I surrender!
I’m not going to lie, I’m kind of annoyed to pull the coat back out, but thankful spring is around the corner.
For all of your people up north reading this and saying “cry me a river” please understand I am originally a Florida girl, but married to a Chicago boy.
I know I can’t cut it up north! I claim weakness! Stay with me though because I’m sharing some great spring decorating ideas for dining room tables and outdoors!
This post is part of a fun “blog hop” where a bunch of girls who are “Instafriends” all share vignettes of our interpretation of spring, and then link to other bloggers for their inspiration!
It’s a fun way to introduce ourselves to new audiences and show you fun and (hopefully!) creative ways to bring on spring.
The fun part about spring is there is so much you can do both inside and out. One of my favorite things to do is change up the silk floral arrangements for dining room table.
Changing up the kitchen table flower arrangements brings a sense of the changing season with it as well as adding in my spring dining room decor.
Here is a smorgasbord of spring looks I’ve introduced recently. For ease, I’m also linking directly to each post, because each will have fun tips.
Side note, let’s discuss the word ‘smorgasbord’. Say it aloud right now – it just makes me smile saying it. Ha!

How I get the outside of my house ready for spring
Guys, I’m flower obsessed. Yet this year I experimented with fake flowers. You read that right – these beautiful puppies aren’t living, breathing flowers.
But you know what’s the best part? I’m ringing in spring in my 32 degree weather, baby! And no one knows the difference!
For tips on how I created this and other arrangements with silk flowers visit here – BUT NOT BEFORE visiting my friend’s blog posts!

Let’s talk about indoors — The best spring dining room decor
Over the years of my blog, my manzanita branch centerpiece has become rather popular. People like to see how I update it for the seasons! Easter is always fun with the beautiful pastels!
I love using a variety of pastel colors to make my silk flower arrangements for dining the rom table. With the large color options, it makes it all the more fun to create!
I’m including some glimpses of this year’s centerpiece. A lot of people look for spring decorating ideas for dining room table, and my round table is a great place to showcase a large spring centerpiece.
On my kitchen table I choose to keep it simple. This is the place we eat at every night so I want the centerpiece low so we can talk over each other, or easy to move to clean.
I usually prefer to use some sort of kitchen table flower arrangement for the centerpiece in my kitchen.
Again, you can read the whole post here after completing the blog hop and learn how to create this Easter centerpiece look by visiting this post!

Ah Yes! Let’s dress our best this spring!
Ladies, don your ruffles and pink. Now is the time to get all feminine! Work those curves and that femininity! Toss the puffy jackets that give you no shape.
However, I admit to having a few (or 4 dozen) Girl Scout cookies over the winter so I am featuring clothes that are not figure hugging. They give you shape without showing off that tummy too much.
I’m 39 years old and ain’t no body got time for body-con dresses. It’s all about illusion, right?
Below are two dresses that let you look pretty but not feel self conscious. One of the dresses is my favorite choice for Easter Sunday!
