Lightweight White Coat with Stripes

Recently I stumbled across this lightweight sweater dress from ASOS and decided to give it a try. More than pleasantly surprised! This dress will work overtime for you this holiday season! The sweater is very lightweight so for all of you southerners trying to pretend it’s winter, this is the dress for you! On the other hand, I wore it in 32 degree Atlanta weather with a coat and was happy as a clam (a clam with a glass of red wine that is!)

It has a mock turtleneck and slit on one side – but a nice length slit. Not one you’ll need to worry about and your co-workers will give you dirty looks over! Because the fabric is somewhat sheer I wore this Spanx Slip underneath (which I would have done anyway for the smoothing effect.) This Spanx slip is 100% a piece you should have in your lingerie drawer – it isn’t that tight yet gives you just enough smoothness and sucking in that you need. It’s so easy to wear!

Add a pair of booties, a handbag and a bold lip and BOOM! Holiday ready! For fun I stole this coat from a friend (who made me return it darn it so I bought it for myself!) because I thought man! This jacket is so cute and makes this black dress suddenly look more cool chic than holiday event chic! I would totally rock this on date or girls night. And then wear the jacket with jeans, to bed…you know. It’s SO SOFT AND COZY! It feels like Barefoot Dreams material but with a cool edge and more affordable! And it has pockets and a hood! Hello, new best friend. It’s $50.

Cozy Throw Jacket: Wearing medium for oversized look.

Black Sweater Dress: Wearing Medium. True to size.

Booties:  Way expensive ones I splurged on here. But these get great reviews and these look amazing!
