I bought this outfit last year, but with classic clothes they don’t ever go out of style! I’m wearing knee high suede boots in this outfit. I find them a bit more versatile than over the knee (though I do have a great pair of over the knee boots I featured here!) Along women’s ponchos and capes, I typically pair a scarf for another layer of warmth and interest. I admit to owning a real fur scarf (forgive me) but I adore it. The tone on tone is very soft so it can be easily dressed up or dressed down!
I like the blend of black and beige. I just think it’s pretty with a little edge. I’ve worn my cape with white though and it softens it a bit. This is also a fabulous piece to throw on over a dress!
Living in Georgia we don’t have drastic winters. It’s cold right now, but typically this will get us by for most of the winter months. If live up north though, like a lot of my family, they wear outfits like this with a big coat over it. It’s frustrating to go from really cold outside to a restaurant that is sweltering hot so layers are a must! Women’s ponchos and capes should be in every woman’s wardrobe – at least one classic one like this!
